Do Not Write For Helium
If you have been considering working from home or making extra money writing online, do not use Helium. They are the worst write for money site out there. Sites such as Today.com and other similar sites like eHow, BlogIt, Bukisa, and Associated Content are by far much better. You will make money with these sites. Unlike Helium, where if you do not have rating stars, writing stars and do not do a multitude of other things, you will never make any money with them.
When you look at the number of articles on their site and the number of writers there and then compare that to the piddly amount of money they have paid out, it doesn’t add up. However, that is because very few people on there make anything. Without constantly rating other articles, writing on topics in the demand area and commenting on articles, you will never make anything. Your articles are not what gets you paid, it’s spending numerous hours on their site participating. Which is all fine and good, except that if you are actaully working as a writer, unfortunately you do not have time to spend hours a day doing this. You need to be working and not reading humdreds of articles daily.
Not only that, but that is not real traffic to the site. Those are not true clicks on the articles and content, when the people working on writing the articles are being forced to read and comment on them as well. The community there is horrible and while the content is good, it is never found online. I did a search of the exact titles of articles I wrote on their site and not one has ever showed up anywhere. However, when I write for other sites, I see immediate slick throughs and I can find my articles through a Google search.
